Golden Superfood Turmeric Latte
This latte is KING in my recipe book. I use it when I need a comforting warm beverage to slow me down, or for an immunity boost , and recently I use it as a soothing relaxant for when my stomach is feeling stressed or upset. Turmeric is full of anti-inflammatory properties and it tastes Delicious!
Time: 5-10 minutes
Quantity: Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup of milk of choice
2 tsp ground turmeric (2 heaped)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
Small pinch of cracked black pepper
Honey/ maple syrup ( ½ or 1 teaspoon )
Method:
Add the milk along with all the spices and sweetener to a sauce pan and whisk until completely combined. If you find the spices don’t completely mix in with a whisk, you can blend (nutribullet) it all together whilst cold which also creates a slightly more frothy milk too before heating.(*note only use a blender when the liquid is cold, must be prior to heating )
Gently heat in a pan until it begins to steam then take off the heat and transfer to a beautiful mug you enjoy!
Tip *stir with a spoon occasionally when drinking , as the spices can stick to the bottom, don’t waste the goodness :)
