I’m Clara Belle Kelly!

Hi, I’m Clara Belle - a lover of all things nourishing and easeful.
I’m an advocate for slowing down, so we can find belonging in our bodies.

It's hard to put into words the totality of a human but I'll try to provide my best snapshot!

I am the 2nd born of 6 girls - YES, 5 sisters (and no boys!), so you could say I’m used to being surrounded by women, and have experienced firsthand the importance of sisterhood.

I’m told, as a child I was calm, easy going & always had a smile on my face. I'd love to say I kept those traits growing up, but it’s actually been 20 years coming back to these parts of my true essence.

I’m very curious, always reading or learning to understand life, humans and health. I’ve been blessed by several mentors in my life that have had a profound impact on me.

My Life

Nourishment is my love language!

You will find me in the kitchen, out in nature or cooking for friends. And fun fact, I’ve had a 13 year long career in the food industry, my 1st qualification being food science. I come from a family of inspiring foodies who have surrounded me with cooking and the love of a good meal. Food has always connected us.

I have always been sporty (Sporty Spice all the way!). I adore moving my body in various ways depending on what it feels like, whether it's a new sporting challenge or coming home to my yoga mat.

A leap of faith that completely transformed my life was to follow my intuition to New Zealand on a solo travel adventure at 26. Where I ended up living 7 very happy years and fell in love with life, community and holistic living. Ireland and New Zealand both feel like my home.

There is so much more I could say (I’m a talker!) but for now these are the experiences that have most shaped who I am and how I live my life.

My Training

I started a 13 year long career in the food industry with a BA in Food Science. Along the way, my passion guided me to become a Certified Holistic Health Coach in 2019 (IIN) and to complete my Body Talk Fundamentals Training (IBA) in 2018, both of these modalities have opened my eyes to a holistic approach to food, body & health. In 2023, I became certified in β€˜The Being Way’ coaching method. This life coaching method is person-centred, grounded in deep presence and awareness, and uses coaching as well as therapeutic tools to guide the client back to their internal wisdom.

Weaving my own personal journey with my professional training has given me powerful insight to share my approach.

I guide women to feel at home in their bodies, to discover new layers of their truth, so they can live in an authentic relationship with their food, their body and their lives.

My work helps women to cultivate the awareness to recognize and understand the beliefs and stories that cause them pain. And how this impacts their life & relationships - especially the one they have with their body and themselves.

As we see more clearly, we can begin to lift the food and body fixations, come back to listening to our body and discern what’s true for us.

After many years of body dysmorphia and anorexia, I landed in hospital in 2005 on an eating disorder program because of the effects it had on both my physical & mental health. I was physically unwell from the malnourishment, but my excessive caution over food and obsession with my appearance was hiding a bigger internal battle.

My life and choices were orientated towards considering first and foremost how I looked. This emphasis on the external became a long-standing focus which hid my true needs: my hunger cues, my sense for the movement I preferred and my connection to who I really was.

Let me share my journey with you, and how food & body fixations used to direct my life.

There was no quick fix. Healing my eating disorder, body dysmorphia and controlling behaviours became a 20 year journey where I discovered exactly what it meant to nourish myself…

  • I became more aware of the externally imposed ideas on health and beauty I saw all around me.

  • I learnt how to listen to my body's wants, needs and innate preferences that change with the cycles and seasons of life.

  • I began letting go of control, and opened up space for a new relationship with my body and life based on trust.

  • I replaced self abandonment with self loyalty, and put my needs and desires first.

And with that, my life started to completely transform.

What this journey has gifted me is an understanding that I had spent most of my life following the β€˜prescribed’ rules and structures around how I β€œshould” be and look, which kept me fighting against my body, and disconnected from myself and my life.

And Now…

I stand as an advocate for holistic nourishment, ease, and body belonging.  I’m committed to helping those, seeking a holistic approach, to become a nourished woman who feels at home in her body.
